Anycubic is preparing the Photon P1 Max, a large-format resin printer with a 14-inch 12K screen and an advertised 18.3 litre build volume. Early access is scheduled to start on July 22.
Large resin printing changes the workflow
The appeal is obvious for miniature creators, prop makers and small workshops: more parts or larger objects per cycle. But a larger vat, heavier plate and bigger wash-and-cure routine all need a dedicated, ventilated workspace.
Resolution is not the only criterion
A high-resolution screen matters, but exposure profiles, supports, consumables, cleaning space and a safety routine matter just as much. For occasional miniatures, a smaller machine can remain easier and less messy.
